Nesting Box Building Workshop - Bruce's Creek Landcare Group

Nesting workshop

Hollow-bearing trees are typically only found in trees exceeding 100 years of age, with larger hollows developing in much older trees. Hollows are essential for birds and small animals to breed.

In this workshop, you will be led to construct your own nesting box for your property as well as learning about the importance of hollows and nesting boxes. We will be constucting rosella, bat and spotted pardalote nesting boxes. BYO: drill or screwdrivers.

This Nesting Box Building Workshop is funded funded by a $3,500 Community Strengthening Grant received by the Geelong Landcare Network in the first round of the Community Strengthening Grant program in 2022 under the Environment and Sustainability stream.
