ABOUT THE EVENT
Golden Plains Shire in partnership with Leisure Networks and Barwon Child, Youth & Family Services are conducting a training workshop on “Dealing with alcohol and other drug issues in your Community Group.”
Facilitated by experts who work in drug prevention this workshop will raise awareness and provide practical advice to local clubs and groups on how you can respond to issues relating to ice, alcohol and other drugs and how to support members. The topics covered will include:

What to do if you suspect someone is using drugs?

Drug and Alcohol Services and how they can help?

Drug related issues - when is police involvement appropriate?

Developing an illicit drug policy and procedures to support action

Wellbeing Roles to support members when drugs are an issue

Defining future support needs for wellbeing in your club/group
