NOMINATE AN ITEM

How you can be involved

How You Can Be Involved:

Residents are invited to nominate objects that represent a special story or theme for their local community, for inclusion in the exhibition. No community is too big or too small to nominate a story or object, and Council hopes to hear from all 56 communities of Golden Plains Shire

When considering an object, Council encourages residents to think about:

  • What is special about your community?
  • What special stories about your community does this object tell?
  • What makes it different?

The exhibition will be housed in a display case in the new Council Chambers, and residents are also encouraged to consider the size of each object they nominate.

There are a number of ways to nominate an item:

  • Complete the online nomination form here
  • Pick up a hard copy of the nomination at Council’s Customer Service Centres in Bannockburn (2 Pope Street), Linton (68 Sussex Street) and Smythesdale (19 Heales Street).

Nominations are now open, and must be received by Monday 16 March 2020.
