About

About:

Council’s Municipal Strategic Statement (MSS) and Local Planning Policy Framework (LPPF) has been reviewed and updated to ensure it sets out the current vision for land use and development in Golden Plains Shire.

Amendment C76 was prepared to include the LPPF and MSS into the Golden Plains Planning Scheme. The amendment has now been submitted to the Minister for Planning for approval.

Engagement update

A series of drop in sessions were held in late 2016 across the Shire, and formal submissions from community members were considered at the Council Meeting in August 2017.  Community feedback from the drop in sessions was wide ranging and was considered by Council.  Some matters were referred to other projects such as the Northern Settlement Strategy.   Matters of Council policy were considered by Council in August 2016 before the final version was formally exhibited in 2017.
