The Public Exhibition period for the draft Environment Strategy has now closed. Council thanks those who provided feedback via a written submission. These submissions will contribute to the development of the Environment Strategy 2019-2027.

About

About:

Council is committed to striving towards environmental sustainability by providing leadership and working together with our community. This commitment is reflected in both our Council Plan (2017-2021), which is underpinned by sustainability principles; and our existing Environment Strategy (2011-2016). The existing Strategy (2011-2016) has delivered a comprehensive program of initiatives, outlined in our recent Action Audit

To build on these successes and plan for the future, Council is in the closing stages of developing a new Environment Strategy (2019-2027). The new Strategy will inform actions to improve environmental sustainability across all levels of Council, and identify ways to link the community with opportunities for education, action and advocacy.
