Golden Plains Shire Council is inviting community members to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for participation in its Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee.    

By joining the Committee, members will have an opportunity to engage directly with local issues, make meaningful impacts, influence the design and delivery of community initiatives or programs and identify advocacy issues that play a vital role in shaping the future of our Shire.

Committee members will work alongside Council representatives, fostering collaboration to find innovative solutions for local challenges, as well as have access to support and training to ensure all members can actively participate and make valuable contributions. 

Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee

The Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee will provide advice and arts industry insight to ensure the creative and cultural practitioners within the Golden Plains Shire have a voice in response to the Arts, Culture & Heritage Strategy 2022-2026. 

The committee will ensure there is a measured and Shire-specific response that listens to its growing cultural community and to learn and adapt its cultural offerings to community needs.

How You Can Be Involved

Expressions of Interest will be open from Wednesday 20 September until 5pm, Wednesday 4 October 2023 and can be made online via this page using the links below or hard copies can be collected from Council’s Customer Hubs, Golden Plains Civic Centre, 2 Pope Street, Bannockburn and The Well, 19 Heales Street, Smythesdale.

What Happens Next

Successful applicants will be contacted following the closing of Expression of Interest on Wednesday 4 October 2023.
