Municipal Early Years Plan
The goal of Council's Municipal Early Years Plan is to provide a strategic direction for the development and coordination of early childhood education, care and health programs and activities that impact on children from birth to age 10 in Golden Plains Shire for on the period 2009 - 2012.
The Municipal Early Years plan indicates that the development of a strong early childhood education, care and health system is important because it:
- contributes to the development of healthy communities;
- saves money;
- builds resilience;
- attracts families to the Shire.
Council wishes to convey its thanks to community members, early childhood experts, council officers, the consultant and partner organisations for their participation and cooperation in the development of this important plan.
