Youth Action Teams
These teams are made up of groups of young people who work together to identify and implement projects and initiatives that will benefit the young people in their communities. Youth Action Teams are currently happening in Linton, Enfield/Napoleons, Teesdale, Lethbridge and Rokewood/Dereel. If you are between the ages of 12-25, interested in your town or community, want to see things happen, contact Yuko.

FReeZA
Youth Services runs a minimum of 5 FReeZA events in the shire each year. FReeZA events include musical or cultural activities which are planned and implemented by teams of young people across the shire. Lately we have celebrated two music events, one in Meredith and one in Teesdale. These events had music, glowsticks, temporary tattoos, and heaps of fun physical activities. Free transport is provided for all events throughout the Golden Plains Shire. One of the young people that attended the Meredith event commented that it was 'awesome' and he 'can't wait until the next one.' National Youth Week
Annual National Youth Week celebrations are held within the shire, usually as a two day festival in April, to celebrate young people's achievements and the positive contribution they make to the community. This year we celebrated National Youth Week in Lethbridge. The event was open to all youth within the Shire with free transport provided so everyone could attend. The event had jumping castles, alien attack, sumo wrestling, DJ, glowsticks, temporary tattoos and a great BBQ! Referral & Advocacy
Referral and support is available to young people by linking them with specialist services for health, personal, family, lifestyle, financial, legal and many other areas that impact on young people's lives. Contact Yuko or Aleisha for more information.
Youth Moves - Holiday Activity Transport
Holiday activity support is provided in the form of transport assistance for groups. Contact Yuko for more information.
