New Synthetic Green To Bowl ‘Em Over In Linton

The Brumby Government will back the Linton Bowling Club's shift to a new synthetic green with $60,000 funding, the Member for Ripon, Joe Helper, has announced.
Mr Helper said the funding, provided to Golden Plains Shire through the Synthetic Surfaces Program (SSP) would complement a fantastic local fund raising effort for the project.

At a special meeting of Council on Thursday the 29th of November the Chief Executive Officer called for nominations for the position of Mayor. Outgoing Mayor, Cr David Cotsell nominated Cr Des Guinane. As there were no further nominations, the CEO declared Cr Guinane elected as Mayor for the period 29 November 2007 to November 2008.
