Council is involved in the State Government's Provincial Victoria marketing campaign.  The campaign is designed to attract people from Melbourne to live, work and invest in Provincial Victoria. The State Government has also established a Website to support the campaign at http://www.provincialvictoria.vic.gov.au

G21 Agribusiness Forum

The G21 Agribusiness Forum will be a coordinated voice for the entire agribusiness sector of the G21 region, undertaking targeted activities and projects that increase the prosperity and satisfaction of the sector and its participants.

The G21 Agribusiness Forum provides a coordinated voice capable of maximising resourcing opportunities for the sector and harnessing those resources to undertake activities and projects that include, but are not limited to:

  • Advocacy for the sector within the community and at all levels of Government;
  • The encouragement of innovation
  • Increased sustainability
  • Support and encouragement for improved infrastructure and logistics
  • More effective marketing
  • People development

Bannockburn Chamber of Commerce

Bannockburn Chamber of CommerceThis dynamic chamber has produced, in partnership with the Bannockburn and District newsletter, a local telephone book for residents including a business and trades directory. The Chamber is proactive in supporting the local business community with programs to assist their business operations and future growth.

The Chamber provides input into Council future planning for commercial growth and supporting business.

As part of the recent Home Based Business Development Project, a HomeBiz Kit has been put together. The kit provides advice to businesses, both new and existing. For your copy of the kit, contact Council's Economic Development Unit on 5220 7158.

Home for Business

The Bannockburn Business Estate, located on the Shelford-Bannockburn Road provides a home for business with a variety of businesses including trades, services and agribusiness located with the estate.

The Bannockburn Business Estate has easy access to the Midland and Hamilton Highways. Stage 2 of the Business Estate has been completed recently.

The following towns have classified Business Zones:

  • Bannockburn
  • Smythesdale
  • Linton

There is an Industrial Zone located at the Bannockburn Business Estate.
