The new strategy will inform Council's planning, support and development of Arts and Culture for the next three years. A weekend adventure showcasing the work of artists of this region. Visit studios & other creative spaces to meet artists, see exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops while exploring the towns, winding roads and diverse landscape of the Golden Plains. The secret is out regarding the depth of talent from Bannockburn artists.  Wintergarden presents "Dimensions" Exhibiton from the 5th to the 26th of May.  Opening Sunday 5th of May 3pm - 5pm Upstairs at 51 McKillop St, Geelong.  Visit www.artwintergarden.com.au

LEAP -VicHealth project & ArtsAtlas

 
 

Golden Plains Shire Council is a partner of the LEAP (Localities Enhancing Arts Participation) VicHealth project. The 3 year project involves 5 other local governments and has seen the formation of the Central Highlands Arts Network which will continue to increase participation in the arts. For more information on LEAP click here

ArtsAtlas www.artsatlas.com.au/ is a free to use site which shares information about the arts across the Central Highlands. Anyone can get on and add content and there are simple 'how to guides' on the site. Free training is also available for those who feel they need some extra help. Contact arts@gplains.vic.gov.au if you are interested in recieving training.

Golden Plains Arts Inc. is an independent group of artists and arts supporters who get togehter to discuss oppourtunities, network and plan arts events. Council values thier input and aims to work in partnership with GP Arts Inc in the planning and delivery of the next Arts Trail as well as othe art and cultural events across the Shire.
