Grain Testing Sites Within Golden Plains Shire
| 10 January 2012 |
For the grain harvest season, there are a number of sites conducting indicative grain testing within the Golden Plains Shire.
The Transition to Grain study commissioned by Golden Plains Shire Council in 2010, identifies the need to advocate for the development of strategically located testing centres to increase the efficiency of grain delivery to the most appropriate receival centres.
The following sites are placed to maximise the accessibility for the majority of grain producers in the Shire.
These sites are:
Happy Hens, Cnr Taylors Rd & Midland Hwy, Meredith; Opening hours: 7am - 5pm
Cost: $25 per test
Inverleigh Trading, 19 High St, Inverleigh; Opening hours: 8am -5pm (M-F) 8am - 12pm (S)

SQP Grain Co-op, Werneth Grain Storage Facility, Werneth Road, Werneth.
Opening hours: 7:30am - 10:00pm

This initiative is a result of the study and its recommendations and is example of Golden Plains Shire Council's continued efforts to support the needs of the agriculture sector.
