Home Based Business Networks in Golden Plains

Golden Plains Shire recognises the major role that home based business plays in providing employment in the Shire.

The lifestyle opportunities in Golden Plains and the proximity to Geelong, Ballarat and Melbourne has encouraged over 300 home based and small businesses to establish in the Shire. In 2005 Golden Plains Shire undertook a Home Based Business Development Project that established a network for the home based businesses.

This network meets in an informal social atmosphere to share ideas and experiences and to make contact with other local operators. The network is led by people who all operate their own businesses and they arrange the member networking meetings and appropriate skills training sessions.

All existing home based businesses and people interested in starting their own businesses are welcome to join the Home Based Business Network.
