Golden Plains Food Prduction Precinct Long Banner Web

Golden Plains Shire offers significant opportunities for investment and growth in intensive agriculture.

The region has a well-established agriculture industry that produces 21% of Victoria’s eggs, 11% of poultry, 5% of pigs, and 4% of Victoria’s sheep and lambs. Goat dairy is also strongly represented.

Council continues to welcome the expansion of intensive agriculture to the region with the establishment of the Golden Plains Food Production Precinct.

The Precinct is strategically located between Geelong and Ballarat with 4,000 hectares of agricultural land ready for investment.
